THE S.B.DHARMIK SAMAJ
SENIOR CITIZENS’ WELFARE TRUST
Panchavati - A novel Concept for the Senior Citizen with Safety and Comfort in Mind
Working individuals are left with little time to take care of their parents and other elders, especially if they are located far away. Very often, the elderly are left to fend for themselves.
Security is an equally important concern. Crimes against senior citizens are on the rise because they are easy targets. So what's the solution? How do the elderly lead the hassle-free life that they deserve, with all the comforts of one's own home?
(Salubrious Bangalore Climate minus the Pollution plus safety and security)
A senior citizen can lease for the rest of his life a decent retirement living unit inside a gated community spread across 27 acres, a kind of mini-township with parks, playgrounds and other open spaces, fitness centre, restaurants and its own dedicated health centre.
Each unit is fully self-contained, well planned and structured with Skid-free flooring, low-jerk elevators and wheelchair-enabled bathrooms, handrails, and glare-free surfaces to take care of every possible need. All basic amenities such as housekeeping, repairs, maintenance, and security are provided in-house. Special emphasis is placed on healthcare and security -- given that these are the two biggest areas of concern for the elderly.
The unique project also offers senior citizens conveniences such as a central kitchen to provide best vegetarian homely food, chauffeur-driven cars to take them anywhere in the city at an affordable cost, a departmental store at one's doorstep providing quality products, a home theatre, internet facility, and library to take care of infotainment. As also guest accommodation is provided for visiting children, or relatives.
According to the fee structure, there is a one-time refundable amount and a recurring monthly component to meet the cost of living. However, the fees payable by residents are lower than of other retirement villages of equivalent quality.
What's interesting is that the property can be inherited by one's next relative provided the nominee is at least 50 years of age. Alternatively, Panchavati Trust will return the deposit money to the nominee with additional bonus value.
The first project is being set up at Bannerghatta Road in Bangalore and will be completed in the next one year with an initial 100 units ready for possession.
Now S.B. Dharmik Samaj Senior Citizens’ Welfare Trust, a Non-Profit body in association with VAKIL HOUSING DEVELOPMENT CORP has finalized the First project PANCHAVATI, 20 Km from Bangalore off Bannerghatta Road, inside Vakil Townscape a Gated Community, of over 1000 apartments located near Jigani.
This is not a proposal for setting up an old age home in the conventional sense, or as an investment opportunity. The idea is to offer good quality accommodation and confort along with well administered common facilities which the senior citizen residents can choose from.
Facilities will include
24/7 Water and Electricity
